Journal History

Industria: Jurnal Teknologi dan Manajemen Agroindustri is a journal published by Department of Agro-industrial Technology, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, University of Brawijaya, Indonesia. It is abbreviated as Industria. Industria published an article in the scope of technology and management in the agro-industrial field. Published since its inception in 2012,

Due to the lack of human resources, Industria could not be published routinely. The amount of the articles per number in each volume were in between 3-5 articles. Open Journal Systems (OJS) was also not used fully in processing all the submitted articles to be published.  

Since 2017, Industria improved its management. It is already indexed by Google Scholar, Indonesia One Search,  Indonesian Publication Index (IPI) which became GARUDA (Garba Rujukan Digital) in July 2018, Indonesian Scientific Journal Database (ISJD), Science and Technology Index (SINTA) in the category of S3, and Crossref with its Digital Object Identifier (DOI). Industria has become one journal referenced by several authors, especially those who work in the field of agro-industry. It publishes 5-7 articles per number in each volume routinely using OJS.

Starting from July 17th, 2018, Industria: Jurnal Teknologi dan Manajemen Agroindustri has been accepted to be included in DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals) for indexing. This inclusion can be seen by clicking this link or the DOAJ image in the right sidebar. Metadata will further be uploaded to our DOAJ database.

Industria: Jurnal Teknologi dan Manajemen Agroindustri has been accredited rank 2 (S2) by Kementerian Riset, Teknologi, dan Pendidikan Tinggi Republik Indonesia (Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of The Republic of Indonesia). This accreditation status is valid for 5 (five) years, starting from Volume 5 Issue 3 (2016) to Volume 10 Issue 1 (2021) SK NO 30/E/KPT/2018. Industria started to go to be an international journal in 2020 by accepting manuscripts in Bahasa Indonesia and in English. All authors of manuscripts submitted in 2021 were willing to publish their manuscripts in English by translating their manuscripts from Bahasa Indonesia into English although we still have the same policy, i.e. publish the manuscripts in Bahasa Indonesia and in English.

Industria has been reaccredited rank 2 (S2) by Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi Republik Indonesia (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia) SK NO 158/E/KPT/2021 from Volume 9 No 3 2020 to Volume 14 No 2 2025. 

Since 2022, to maintain the quality of the articles, Industria has reduced the publication frequency from 3 times a year to 2 times a year and the article layout was changed from 2 columns into 1 column.
